Senior Citizens Welfare Program is an entity which is a part of Nixor Corporate at Nixor College. It is an officially registered NGO, which has its own executive team and is solely run by the students. This entity has been frequently visiting two old-age homes where we take snacks and juices, watch movies, dance, play and sing with the elderly. The entity also provides free medical check-ups for t
he elderly of the old-age homes and free psychiatric training to its volunteers to best prepare them to deal with the elderly who have been neglected by their own families. It is , however, important to note that SCWP does not encourage the operation of such organisations in the society but is just working to provide for the people who are at the mercy of these places. SCWP seeks sponsorship and other grants in order to carry out its operations. Its main aim is to look after the elderly people at different old-age homes across Karachi who are neglected by the society.
