We're excited to announce Climate Finance Decoded, a hands-on introductory bootcamp designed to demystify one of the most critical and least understood conversations in climate action today.

Climate finance shapes what gets funded, who benefits, and who gets left behind. But for most people, it remains inaccessible, buried in jargon, locked in boardrooms, and far removed from the communities it's meant to serve. This bootcamp changes that.

In just 2 hours, we'll break down how global climate finance actually works, where Pakistan sits in this system, and what transparency and accountability look like in practice.

Whether you're a professional, a student, a researcher, or simply someone who wants to understand the money behind climate action, this one's for you.

Have you ever come across the term "climate finance" and wondered what it actually means? Who decides where the money goes? How does it move from global pledges to real action on the ground, and what does any of this have to do with you?

These are questions more people should be asking. And honestly, the conversation around climate finance can feel dense, technical, and far removed from everyday life, but it doesn't have to be.
We're working on something to change that. Coming June 15, in Karachi. Stay tuned.

At the Climate Financing & Adaptation Workshop by UNDP Pakistan in Karachi, our Policy & Research Lead, Raima Mehmood, delivered a session on Carbon Market Readiness in Pakistan & Sindh.

The discussion focused on Article 6 opportunities, climate finance governance, and the need for transparency and institutional readiness to build credible carbon markets in Pakistan.

With Sindh’s growing potential in mangroves, renewable energy, and methane reduction initiatives, strengthening governance frameworks remains critical for unlocking inclusive and integrity-driven climate finance pathways.

Mr. Kashif Shaikh, Executive Director, Transparency International Pakistan (TI-P), highlights key findings from the Transparency in Corporate Reporting Assessment (TRAC) 2024, emphasizing that many publicly listed companies in Pakistan continue to face weak reporting on grievance redress mechanisms (GRMs), which is becoming a growing requirement of corporate governance, including under the National Action Plan for Businesses on Human Rights.

He noted that companies without effective whistleblowing and grievance mechanisms are more vulnerable to governance failures, reputational damage, legal risks, and declining stakeholder trust.

During the webinar on Advancing Corporate Integrity organized by Transparency International Pakistan (TI-P) in collaboration with ESG Nexus and the Ministry of Human Rights, speakers underscored the importance of strengthening internal accountability systems and embedding grievance mechanisms within corporate governance frameworks.

Integrity is built on the floor, not just in the boardroom.

Most corporate integrity efforts focus on senior leadership. But the decisions that actually shape workplace culture happen every day, across teams, departments, and processes.

That’s the gap our new Workplace Integrity Training is designed to address.

A half-day, on-site workshop for groups of employees, grounded in Transparency International Pakistan (TI-P)’s corporate transparency standards and built around real workplace challenges: anti-corruption programmes, whistleblowing mechanisms, procurement integrity, gifts and facilitation payments, and human rights.

Transparency International Pakistan (TI-P) has shared policy recommendations on the proposed Punjab Climate Change Act 2026, highlighting the importance of building a climate governance framework rooted in transparency, accountability, integrity, and public participation.

The recommendations call for stronger Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) systems, greater transparency in climate finance and carbon market activities, stronger environmental enforcement, and public access to climate-related information and procurement data.

The submission also stresses the need for inclusive and participatory climate governance through the engagement of civil society, academia, technical experts, and affected communities, alongside independent grievance redress and legislative oversight mechanisms.

As climate policy frameworks continue to evolve in Pakistan, embedding governance and integrity safeguards will be critical to ensuring climate action is credible, inclusive, and implementation focused.

Globally corruption in healthcare manifests itself at every stage of the health system from policy making and procurement to financing and service delivery.

Some of these key risks highlighted by Transparency International can undermine healthcare systems, weaken public trust, increase healthcare costs, and reduce access to quality healthcare, especially for vulnerable populations.

Through its Health Governance Program, Transparency International Pakistan (TI-P) is working with stakeholders to strengthen regulatory enforcement, enhancing professional practice standards and raising awareness among citizens and patients about their rights and accountability mechanisms.
