Webinar Recap | IMGs Pathway to New Zealand

Aik Qadam Aur successfully hosted an informative webinar on the IMGs Pathway to New Zealand, featuring Dr. Harris Ansari, Consultant Ophthalmologist at Te Whatu Ora, Whanganui.

EQA x FPS Summer Program 🌿
Our visit to Anjuman Hayat ul Islam Orphanage was the highlight of the season.

From fun environmental charades to a Q&A on how plants are like us, to planting in hand-painted pots the kids energy was unmatched.
Each child took a pledge to nurture their plant and left their handprint on our panaflex wall as a promise.

We sent them off with coloring books, pencils, and biscuits.

On Sunday, 5th July 2026, Dr. Ashna, Lead of the Medical Panel, conducted an insightful webinar on Complete Blood Count (CBC) Interpretation for volunteers recruited under the Medical Camp Program.

Key insights from the session included:
• Understanding the indications for ordering a Complete Blood Count (CBC).
• Interpreting common CBC abnormalities, including leukocytosis, anemia, polycythemia, and thrombocytopenia.
• Recognizing the initial management of abnormal CBC findings.
• Reviewing the indications and protocols for blood transfusions.
• Discussing CBC-based recommendations before clinical procedures.

The session equipped volunteers with practical knowledge to confidently interpret CBC reports and apply evidence-based clinical decision-making in healthcare settings.
