Organization for Recreation, Cultural Harmony and Integrated D
evelopment (ORCHID) was founded in the year 2007 by a group of committed development workers and experts belonging to various spheres of life such as education, environment, sanitation, law, engineering and women activism. ORCHID works for sustainable development through integrated social services and promotes education and literacy, food security, health, income generation opportunities, healthy environment, social justice and humanitarian assistance in emergencies. After expansion of its activities in many parts of the province, ORCHID was registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 through registration number KAR--0078 of 2011. The registered office of the organization is currently situated in the city of Karachi and its area of intervention in communities is both urban and rural. ORCHID has a pronounced heritage of remarkable social welfare projects in Pakistan, aiming social reform and prosperity in the region, since 2010. It has been the strength of the organisation that it always had well qualified and committed members and workforce, competent enough to achieve its objectives. ORCHID has shown fabulous growth since its inception.
