Some battles against cancer are won long before treatment begins through awareness, prevention and early detection.
The Hunar Foundation is proud to have successfully conducted an Oral Cancer Awareness & Screening Event in collaboration with our valued partners, reinforcing our commitment to health education and community well-being.
More than 250 participants from Rajbi Industry attended awareness sessions focused on oral health, cancer prevention, and the importance of early detection. Community members from Allahwala Town also benefited from oral health screenings and expert consultations, promoting the early identification of potential oral health concerns.
The event highlighted the dangers of to***co use, smokeless to***co products, betel nut consumption and poor oral hygiene key risk factors associated with oral cancer.
Our Hunar HealthCare (HHC) students played an active role throughout the event, supporting participant engagement, registration and health promotion activities while gaining valuable hands-on experience in community healthcare.
The initiative was further strengthened by the participation of leading surgeons and oncologists from Patel Hospital, CyberKnife & Tomotherapy Center JPMC, Aga Khan University Hospital, Cancer Foundation Hospital, Dow Dental College and Ziauddin Hospital, who shared their expertise and contributed to raising awareness about prevention and early diagnosis.
Together, we are creating awareness, promoting prevention, and building healthier communities because awareness is often the first step toward saving a life.
