Creativity can open the door to meaningful career opportunities and Sagar’s journey shows the impact of learning through practical experience.

After completing the Fashion Designing course at The Hunar Foundation – FAASTI, Sagar gained hands-on experience and industry-relevant skills that helped strengthen his creativity and technical expertise.

Today, Sagar is working at Nishat Factory and earning PKR 42,000 per month, taking an important step toward achieving his professional goals.

At THF, we believe practical skills can turn talent into opportunities and help young people build brighter futures.

At The Hunar Foundation, expanding access to skills starts with strengthening the institutions that make learning possible.

Through the CVSS Capacity Building Workshop on Admissions Drive Management, teams from THF and partner institutes came together to rethink admissions, strengthen student outreach and turn challenges into actionable strategies.

The workshop’s key outcome was the development of a 90-Day Admissions Action Plan by each participating institute - transforming learning into clear, measurable steps to reach more aspiring students and connect them with opportunities for skills development.

This is more than an admissions initiative. It is about building stronger systems, empowering institutions and creating pathways for more young people to access skills that can shape their futures.

Together, we are strengthening the skills ecosystem and opening doors to opportunity.

Sumaiya Adnan, a student of The Hunar Foundation - Salim Zubairi & Abdul Khaliq Allahwala Training Institute (SZAKATI), recently had the opportunity to deliver a speech at The Sindh Assembly on Independence Day Special Session, where she spoke about children’s Right to Education.

This was more than just a speech. It was a proud achievement as a student, an opportunity to share her thoughts, represent the voices of children in Sindh, and speak with confidence on a platform where children’s rights are being discussed.

She is a member of the Children and Adolescents Parliament on Right to Education (Sindh), an initiative being implemented in collaboration with Thar Education Alliance (TEA) and UNICEF Pakistan. She has also been selected as a member of the Child Advisory Panel (CAP) of the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC), Government of Sindh.

Her achievement reflects the importance of giving students the education, skills, confidence and opportunities they need to express themselves and take part in conversations that shape their future.

For every student at THF, her journey is an impactful reminder:

Your voice matters. Your ideas matter. Your potential deserves a platform.

The Hunar Foundation is proud of Sumaiya and her achievement. We hope her story inspires many more THF students to step forward, speak with confidence and believe in what they can achieve.
