In this activity, the child first practiced putting their arms into the sleeves and then worked on fastening the zipper. By breaking the task into manageable steps, the child was able to build confidence and gradually develop the skills needed for dressing independently.

ADL training focuses on turning everyday routines into learning opportunities, helping children become more confident, capable, and independent in their daily lives.

When a child repeats the same activity again and again, they may be strengthening neural pathways, processing sensory information, improving attention, building confidence, or practicing a skill until it feels safe and mastered.

For many children, repetition is not a sign that learning has stopped. In fact, repetition is often where learning happens.

As parents and therapists, instead of immediately redirecting the child, take a moment to observe. Ask yourself:
• What skill are they practicing?
• What sensory need are they meeting?
• What keeps drawing them back to this activity?

The goal is not to stop the repetition but to understand the learning hidden inside it.

Sometimes the deepest learning is the learning we cannot immediately see.

This video is from our Vocademics Program.

Learning happens best when children can see, imitate, and practice. Through engaging visual demonstrations, our little learners enthusiastically explored daily life routines such as brushing their teeth, combing their hair, washing their faces, and getting ready for school. Watching and following along helped them understand these important self-care skills in a fun and meaningful way.

These activities are more than just actions, they are building blocks of independence, confidence, and everyday living skills. By turning routines into interactive learning experiences, children develop essential habits that support their growth both at home and in the classroom.

Self-regulation is a child's ability to manage emotions, behaviors, and reactions in different situations. When children struggle with self-regulation, everyday tasks and social interactions can become challenging.

How can we support self-regulation?
✔️ Maintain consistent routines and clear expectations ✔️ Use visual schedules and transition warnings
✔️ Teach deep breathing and calming strategies
✔️ Encourage movement breaks and physical activity
✔️ Model calm behavior and positive coping skills
✔️ Praise efforts when children manage their emotions appropriately

With patience, practice, and the right support, children can develop stronger self-regulation skills and become more confident in their daily activities.

Small steps today can lead to big progress tomorrow✨

✅ Backward Walking
✅ Balancing an Object While Walking
✅ Balance Beam Walking
✅ Walking on Different Textures

Today, Ms. Faryal Berlas was invited to SAMAA TV to raise awareness about neurodevelopmental delays.

During the discussion, it was emphasized that neurodivergent conditions such as Autism and ADHD are not caused by screen time alone. Unfortunately, mothers are often unfairly blamed for their children’s developmental differences. The conversation highlighted the importance of awareness, understanding, and evidence-based discussions, while challenging common misconceptions surrounding neurodevelopmental conditions.
