At the WorldPride Human Rights Conference 2026, Ms. Kami Choudhry proudly represented Pakistan and Sub Rang Society in the Lightning Round, sharing our community-led work on mental health and wellbeing for transgender, q***r, and gender-diverse communities.

It was an honour to share this space with esteemed advocates and changemakers from Thailand, Peru, Nepal, and beyond, exchanging powerful experiences, solutions, and visions for a more inclusive future.

From Lahore, Pakistan to the AIDS 2026 Global Village in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Heer Alvi’s voice is carrying stories that statistics alone cannot tell.

“Echoes of Resilience: A Poetic Journey Through Stigma and Survival” is a spoken-word performance rooted in the lived realities of Khawaja Sira (transgender) s*x workers in Pakistan.

Through this activity, I hope to transform research into empathy, amplify community voices, and advocate for trauma-informed, rights-based HIV responses where mental health is not an afterthought but a priority.

Art has always been resistance. This time, it becomes evidence, advocacy, and hope.
