Sara Ismail's journey is proof that resilience can turn challenges into achievements.

A proud deaf athlete, fashion student, and Deaf Reach Karachi Campus alumna, Sara has never let barriers define her. In 2024, she was honored with the prestigious Prince's Trust GYA (Asia) Award, and in 2025, she earned the National Netball Award after representing Pakistan and securing third place in a sport she had only recently begun playing.

This Independence Day, we celebrate Sara and the countless Deaf Reach alumni across Pakistan who continue to challenge stereotypes, pursue their dreams, and show that inclusion creates champions. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ

A stronger Pakistan is built when everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Kashaf Alvi's extraordinary journey, from pioneering as Pakistan's first deaf-published author to representing the Deaf community on national and international platforms, is proof that inclusion creates leaders.

This Independence Day, we celebrate his achievements and every deaf individual working toward a more inclusive Pakistan.

01/08/2026

As Independence Day approaches, we celebrate how far Pakistan has come in recognizing and empowering the deaf community.

But our journey to create a truly inclusive Pakistan is far from over. Together, letโ€™s build a Pakistan where every deaf person has equal access to education, employment, communication, and opportunity.
