Pakistan Society of Dental Surgeons (PSDS) is the brainchild of Dental Square, their vision is to harness the support of the wider dental industry to enable dental surgeons across Pakistan to help poor and needy. Working in partnership with dental square we aim to help countless number of people to improve their oral health through providing educational materials, resources, advice, information &
by organizing campaigns, dental camps and events. We are the only charitable organization in Pakistan to provide "Dental Helpline" offering free and confidential advice while providing the very best educational resources for poor and needy in Pakistan. PSDS also work closely with other charitable organisations in our communities who will benefit from a positive dental intervention. The Goal of PSDS is to the change the public's perception of dentistry by increasing attendance and reinstating the dental team position as a trusted organization of the local community. We will take this message to the public in a new fun way with the help of the finest Dental Surgeons in Pakistan by using campaigns that was never seen in dentistry before, based on humor, powerful visuals and collective efforts. We believe we can make a measurable difference by starting from the ground- up, using the dental teams of the future (the students). Our aim is to launch the public facing campaign from Karachi and rolling out to the whole of Pakistan. With good hearts, humility and the most experienced Dental professionals on board the PSDS seeks to educate the poor about oral health, providing them with much needed care which undoubtedly they are unable to afford. We work cooperatively alongside with the most grassroots organizations, for the benefit of the slum areas,the most deprived communities this is their only opportunity to receive any kind of Dental care. Endorsed by and working in partnership with Dental Square (Karachi), The PSDS will provide FREE examinations, extractions, restorations, cleanings and dentures. The guiding principle for our treatment programs is the relief of pain for the greatest number of people. This is balanced with prevention, dispensing toothbrushes to individuals, and free Dental camps. The PSDS has developed Comprehensive community based programs. These include the training of local people as dental health promoters. In addition, we will support small education organizations with oral health initiatives. Through continued education, research funding and dentistry outreach programs PSDS will encourage the poor and most deprived community in Pakistan to come forward and seek help for Oral Health care, we are encouraged by the progress and the difference we will make.
