The Memon Youth Parliament (MYP) has been formed realizing the need for a “common” platform between the various memon community organizations, especially the youth organizations to discuss their ideas, establish positive working relationships and form a joint strategy for the community’s youth to help the community excel in all walks of life. We aim to unite representatives from the Memon Youth on
this platform to identify the challenges being faced by the community and suggest solutions to them. These solutions, then should be implemented by the various memon youth organizations and jamaats. Additionally the MYP aims to train and make aware the Memon Youth in parliamentary practices and constitution. The objectives of the MYP are as follows:
• To educate the “Memon Youth” about the business of the government, laws, geo-politics and constitution of the country.
• To unite the “Memon Youth” on a single-most vibrant platform to discuss the issues being faced by the community and the country.
• To establish MYP as a platform from which recommendations and policies for the betterment of the community may be debated and proposed. Basic Description:
Eligibility Criteria:
> Be a Memon. (Belonging to any Jamaat registered with All Pakistan Memon Federation)
> Age should be between 15 Years to 40 Years. Business of the Parliament:
> The MYP will have various committees on the challenges being faced by the community. These committees regularly, to discuss, debate and propose “strategy and action plan” for the community leaders to implement.
> The MYP will meet up regularly to present the findings, recommendations and solutions to community leaders in order to have the same implemented. Positions in the Parliament:
> Prime Minister
> Minister for Education & Training
> Minister for Economy & Finance
> Minister for Foreign Affairs
> Minister for Home Affairs
> Minister for Defence
