OFFICIAL RESOLUTION / CONDEMNATION BY THE
FRIENDS OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PAKISTAN (FHRRP) AND THE LEGAL FRATERNITY
We strongly condemn the recent attacks directed at the Iranian Supreme Leader and the civilian population of Iran. As advocates for the rule of law, we view these actions as a grave violation of national sovereignty and a breach of international diplomatic protocols. Such provocations serve only to escalate tension and endanger the lives of millions of innocent people. We stand for the protection of human rights and the sanctity of sovereign leadership. We view the targeting of state leadership as a departure from the norms of the UN Charter, which mandates respect for the territorial integrity and political independence of all nations. We urge all parties to immediately halt hostilities and return to the path of diplomacy to prevent a wider regional conflict that would have catastrophic global consequences. We stand for the protection of human rights and the sanctity of sovereign leadership.
Furthermore, we express our deep outrage and condemnation regarding the unprovoked attacks by the Afghan Taliban regime targeting innocent people within Pakistan. We condemn the continued facilitation of terrorist groups, such as the TTP, on Afghan soil, which directly contradicts the Taliban’s international pledges to not allow their territory to be used for cross-border aggression. The recent escalation along the Durand Line, including attacks on military outposts and civilian areas in districts like North Waziristan and Bajaur, undermines regional stability. We stand firmly for the protection of human rights, the sanctity of sovereign leadership, and the rule of law. We call upon the international community to take decisive action to uphold these principles and restore peace to the region.
