In 2022, Zindagi Trust signed an MoU with STEAM Pakistan with a shared vision: to transform government school education through the power of art, creativity, and interdisciplinary learning.

As part of this collaboration, our Head of Art Program, Anam Shakil, designed 10 art activity guides along with their instructional videos for teachers in STEAM Pakistan partner schools across the nation. Several of these lessons thoughtfully integrated art with science and mathematics to support the STEAM mission to bring interdisciplinary learning to classrooms.

Three years on, our friends at STEAM Pakistan are now in more than 16,000 schools across all provinces and territories! It is inspiring to see schoolteachers from Ghotki to Sujawal and from Dera Ismail Khan to Tando Muhammad Khan, actively implementing our art activity guides in their classrooms. It is an honour to play our part in helping students think creatively and critically, and also to empower teachers, to make learning more meaningful.

This is what educational transformation looks like: accessible, creative, and rooted in the belief that every child, no matter where he or she lives in Pakistan, deserves opportunities to imagine, explore, and express themselves.

Students from Grade 7th had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Japanese Calendar Exhibition 2026 at the State Bank Museum.

The exhibition, showcased around 80 unique Japanese calendars, each beautifully reflecting Japan’s rich art, culture, scenic landscapes, and seasonal beauty. It was an engaging and informative experience for the students, allowing them to explore and appreciate Japanese aesthetics beyond just dates and timekeeping.

The visit proved to be both educational and enjoyable, leaving students inspired and enriched with cultural knowledge.
