The PECA Act in Pakistan stands for the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016. It is a law made to deal with crimes committed through computers, mobile phones, and the internet. This law covers offenses like hacking, online fraud, identity theft, cyber stalking, spreading fake or harmful content, online harassment, and misuse of social media. The purpose of the PECA Act is to protect peopleβs privacy, data, and dignity in the digital world and to ensure that anyone who misuses technology to harm others can be investig*ted and punished according to law.
