CONSUMERS VOICE PAKISTAN campaigns to strengthen consumer rights movement in Pakistan by creating awareness, mobilising consumers, demanding appropriate reforms, and representing consumers at different social, economic and legal forums for the realization of consumer rights. This means achieving real changes in government policy and corporate behavior while raising Voice for awareness of rights and responsibilities. CVP seeks to hold corporations to account and demands government action to put consumer concerns first. CVP acting as a watchdog against any behavior that threatens ignores or abuses the principles of consumer protection. It is important that consumers engage constructively with the corporate sector and local market players in order to advocate for consumer protection through responsible business practices. For the purpose, Consumers Voice Pakistan conducts research, documents consumers’ complaints, educates and trains consumers, and then facilitates them in taking up their complaints with the market leaders or their representative bodies. In specific cases, it directly engages the corporate sector to highlight concerns, advocates for voluntary codes and grievance redress mechanisms, demands health and safety measures,
and seeks responsible and fair business practices. CONSUMERS VOICE PAKISTAN recognizes the importance of environment in the context of consumers’ rights and protection of future generations. Therefore, it promotes sustainable consumption, responsible consumer practices and preferences, and implementation of appropriate codes of conduct on the part of industry and other stakeholders. Related initiatives include applied research, awareness campaigns, advocacy for effective laws and voluntary codes, promotion of dialogues among stakeholders, and capacity building. The workers and volunteers of Consumer Watch keep devising creative and effective strategies to protect, promote and advocate consumer rights. CONSUMERS VOICE PAKISTAN organizes seminars, workshops, conferences, public walks, awareness programmes to create consumer awareness against unregistered, Substandard, Adulterated and counterfeit Products and Services in Pakistan. CVP organizes special programmes on occasion of World Consumer Rights Day & World Standards Day. CVP seeks to hold corporations to account and demands government action to put consumer concerns first, acting as watchdog. CVP cooperates with Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority to promote standard consciousness culture in Pakistan. CVP represents consumers in Standards developing technical committees of PSQCA. CS-Award 203 had the official collaboration of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority Ministry of Science and technology (Government of Pakistan) also have support of other organizations, Award honors the most preferred Product and Services that have ISO/ PSQCA Certification and customer’s trust whose accomplishments have made significant differences to the remarkable growth and development of Pakistan economy. Consumer Voice Pakistan published Monthly Consumer VOICE Mag, the voice of 180 million consumers in Pakistan.
