FYDP Day - Batch 22 Final Project Presentations

The Department of Electronic Engineering proudly conducted the FYDP Day for Batch 22, where final-year students presented and defended their Final Year Design Projects. It was a significant achievement for both the Department of Electronic Engineering and Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, showcasing innovation, technical excellence, and strong industry collaboration.

A major highlight of this year’s FYDP was the successful completion of three industrial-based projects, including two projects in collaboration with Liberty Mills Limited. Alongside the industrial projects, students also presented several innovative and research-oriented solutions across different domains of electronic engineering.

The event was attended by external evaluators and distinguished guests from academia and industry, making the occasion even more prestigious and impactful for the graduating students.

Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry! 🚀

The Department of Electronic Engineering at Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), in collaboration with the IEEE DUET Student Branch, successfully hosted a seminar on
"Breaking into Industrial Automation: Skills, Roles, and Opportunities for Electronic Engineers".

We were privileged to host Engr. Waqas Nasir Khan (Assistant Manager E&I, Colgate Palmolive) as our guest speaker.

The event was a significant learning milestone, attended by the Students of Department of electronic Engineering. We were graced by the presence of our Chairman, Dr. Muhammad Rauf, and distinguished faculty members from the Department of Electronic Engineering.

To conclude the event, a shield of appreciation was presented to our guest speaker.

The Department of Electronic Engineering recently organized an insightful workshop for Batch 23 on crafting a strong FYDP proposal. Dr. Musharraf Alam provided practical, no-nonsense guidance on how to approach problem selection, structure proposals, and align projects with real industry needs.

IEEE DUET proudly co-organized the session and managed the event, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all participants.

Final year students from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Dawood UET and the Department of Computer Science, IoBM Karachi are collaborating on an interdisciplinary project at the Embedded Neuro Systems Lab, DUET. This initiative brings together expertise in hardware design, embedded systems, and intelligent software development to build practical, real-world solutions. Such collaborations highlight the importance of integrating electronics with computing to address complex engineering challenges and prepare students for industry-driven innovation

Team VanGuards, 1st Year students from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), secured a dual victory at ProBattle’26 Robotics Module held at IBA Karachi, winning both Robo Race and Robo Sumo.

This achievement by Batch-25 (1st Semester) students proves that strong fundamentals and hands-on learning at DUET start from day one.

🚀 Bridging Technology and Empathy: Field Testing the "Smart Blind Stick"

We are proud to share a significant milestone achieved by our 3rd-year students from the Department of Electronic Engineering.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Musharraf Alam (Batch Advisor), our students, recently visited a local NGO to conduct real-world testing of their innovative project, the "Smart Blind Stick."

The visit provided invaluable insights into User-Centered Design, allowing the team to gather direct feedback from visually impaired individuals. This experience goes beyond the classroom, proving that engineering is at its best when it creates solutions that enhance human lives.
