The Dawood Foundation The Dawood Foundation (TDF) was established in 1961 to promote and help society through education.

Substantial funds have been contributed for establishing schools and colleges across Pakistan. TDF is now moving to undertake projects that are more content and technology based in its knowledge dissemination. We have also contributed in development of hospitals and dispensaries. Apart from this TDF has made noteworthy contributions in disaster recovery and rehabilitation works as well.

We were honoured to host PAIMANA Parent Education Certificate Programme participants from the Aga Khan Council for Karachi at TDF's MagnifiScience Centre for a special learning session.

PAIMANA supports parents of youth aged 9 - 16 in understanding and engaging with adolescent development.

Mr. Favad Soomro, CEO of The Dawood Foundation, delivered a talk on "The Importance of Play and Physical Movement in Adolescent Life," covering healthy habits, screen time balance and the role parents play in encouraging active lifestyles.

Two generations, two Saudi kings. But one friendship that has lasted half a century.

On this date, we remember the proclamation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932 under King Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Our archive holds a small part of what came after. In the 1960s, Ahmed Dawood, founder of The Dawood Foundation, received Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of Saudi Arabia from 1964 and the man Pakistan named a city after. Decades later, his son Hussain Dawood received Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of Saudi Arabia since 2015.

Two handshakes, a lifetime apart, stand for something larger: the bond between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, two nations held together by faith and brotherhood, and a family that helped build Pakistan's industry while that friendship deepened.

Chairman of The Dawood Foundation, and someone who has long believed that real success is not built on skill alone, but on character — on upholding truth, trust, humility, integrity, and perseverance through hardship.

Mr. Dawood's service to education, science and community was recognised with Pakistan's Hilal-i-Imtiaz last year. That commitment continues today through institutions including the Karachi School of Business & Leadership and Engro Corporation, to name a few.
