• Aghaaz : Mustakbil kay Rahi, was founded in December 19, 2011 and is a Project of Pakistan Youth Forum where Basic Education is provided to Children living in Slum areas. Previously the school building opened in 2012 with approximately 60 pupils and is located in House no D49 street no148 azeem khan goth gulshan.e.iqbal block 4/a, Karachi, Pakistan-75300. We believe that each of us needs to strive more to become a good human, who is honest, courteous, faithful and passionate to achieve his /her aim and goal in life, who believes in caring and helping others. We all need to learn and earn influential principle of life from Islam and its teachings, learn Humanity from Prophet Muhammad (saw) and to be a good citizen from each other. We at Aghaaz, strive hard to instill the basic and necessary teachings in our kids with a qualified taskforce which is ever willing to volunteer. Aghaaz started off with 45 students towards the journey of education, motivating people around, it now has 94 students who are being taught and trained with quality education they deserve. Apart from this, Aghaaz has come a long way from where it started. It was a major issue for us to work on every student’s way of learning as all of them have come from a different background. To introduce to them the importance of knowledge and future support, we had our teachers personally approaching every student and analyzing their psychology to help them better with studying. Most of our students initially came up with an average level of self confidence due to the fact that they belonged to middle class strata. Our main focus was to polish their confidence and create a sense of responsibility in them and make them believe themselves as we at Aghaaz believe that until and unless someone believe in its capabilities, they won’t be able to achieve their goals! We aim to provide them with everything they deserve as we have launched our IT lab with advanced facilities recently and we are also working on introducing effective methods of teaching to help them retain easily. We not only teach children, our academic team has also worked on a ‘ Teachers Manual’, which has code and ethics to be followed within the school premises, and a bi-weekly briefing is given to the teachers to get updates. The teachers in our school are trained to teach every kind of a learner be it a visual learner or an auditory learner or someone who learns by doing it. The continuous support from our teachers and volunteers made it possible to bring about a drastic change in every students personality, as a lot of them are looking forward to their bright future of becoming a doctor or an engineer or a teacher! This attitude of believing in oneself is the first milestone in helping the country and the world reach the heights of success. Apart from this we have many upcoming projects, library for the kids being the most important one followed by instilling Islamic education by introducing easy ways to understand and read Quran. By following our own syllabus and strategies we have a choice of observing and making changes in our syllabus whenever we find it suitable. The massive impact of Education on a society is that, possibilities and accomplishments become virtually endless once you have achieved education. One can tailor their education toward specific areas of learning to become anything they want. Having an education not only gives you the promise of a decent life, but produces self confidence and self esteem. Knowledge is the most important tool that we bestow upon ourselves and build a society with strong norms and ethics which should be followed by every human being. A solid, basic education, followed by a specific, career orientated education, is the cornerstone of a complete citizen ; the first major step toward achieving Quaid’s dream.The learning system in our school does not only make our students a bright one but also makes them a human being who has an ability to differentiate between right and wrong and take their own decisions and compete in every field of knowledge. The school premises provide a working environment that is conducive to teaching and learning and works in strong partnership with Pakistan Youth Forum and has links with qualified members and volunteers all over Pakistan and abroad.
