Distributed around 300 jackets today to these beautiful children at both the madarsas we look after, Khokrapar (Malir) and Garden.

The kids were absolutely delighted, and we also shared a small pep talk with these wonderful souls today.

JazakAllah to everyone for your generous donations. Most of these children are orphans who live at the madarsa. We also run a sponsor and orphan support program for them, which many of you continue to contribute to regularly. Your kindness truly makes a difference. 🤍

This winter, we’re wrapping warmth around the children who need it most. ❤️

Umeed Trust, in collaboration with Nusrat Trust for Special Children, is hosting a Winter Carnival filled with love, joy, and inclusive activities for our extraordinary kids with special needs.

We aim to support 1000 differently-abled children by gifting each one a warm jacket, thermal blanket, socks, and a cozy cap because no child should face winter without comfort and care.

We’re also providing food for 3000 people (1000 special kids and their parents), making this day not just warm, but memorable for every family that joins.

Our Winter Relief Drive 2025 is now live !

With Umeed Trust verified locations across Karachi, we’re making sure warmth reaches those who need it most.

Prices (including transportation & labour):
• Kids’ jackets: PKR 130
• Adults’ jackets: PKR 150
• Hoodies: PKR 100
• Blankets: PKR 1,200

Last year, with your support, we were able to support 2100 underprivileged individuals in fighting the cold.

This year, let’s aim even higher and spread warmth to even more families.

Your contribution can help someone survive the harsh winter.

Trigger warning !!!! This is not for people with sensitive hearts !!!!

Yes we are getting in touch with doctors for her treatment.. her skin keeps shedding and the family is told that its treatment is only in the states.

Whatever it takes in sha Allah we will get her treated on priority basis.

Thisssssssssssssss broke my heart but also made me thank Allah miyan soooo much that HE let us do something for her at least... she was very happy to enjoy the fan .... considering her condition i dont know how she was surviving this heat earlier.

Alhamdulillah 22 Solar Projects completed today.

We installed 9 solar sets in houses with special kids. To see them sleep peacefully in this heat under the fans gave me so much peace.

For the longest time, I believed privilege meant luxury , a life, a level above the rest. But working at Mubarak Village changed that perspective entirely.

For the families living there, even a fan is a privilege. One they’ve been deprived of for far too long. What began as a modest project of constructing two houses and installing four solar plates (each with a converter, battery, fan, and light) grew far beyond our expectations.

Thanks to your generous donations, we’ve now installed solar power in 14 homes. Alhamdulillah.

The sheer joy on their faces, just from feeling the air of a fan was such an overwhelming feeling to experience.

It is a reminder that what we take for granted can be someone else’s luxury.

Because Umeed Trust is built on the values of inclusion and putting children first, we’ve also begun installing 8 solar projects today in Rehri Goth, specifically in homes with children with special needs.

Our goal for 2025:

To install at least 100 more solar units in Mubarak Village, so no family is left in the dark.. literally or figuratively.

We often forget how fortunate we are. Today, I’m grateful that Allah allowed me to truly understand what privilege means and gave me the chance to do something about it.
