Young Leaders Organization strongly condemns the tragic death of Fahmida Laghari and demands immediate action.

Today, civil society activists, lawyers, students, and citizens gathered in Karachi to protest and stand in solidarity with Fahmida’s family. The presence of her parents and siblings reflected the deep pain and urgent need for justice.

Reports suggest that Fahmida, a student, faced alleged harassment by teachers, which may have contributed to her death. This raises serious concerns about student safety within educational institutions.

We demand:

-An immediate, transparent, and independent investigation
-Protection mechanisms for students against harassment
-Strict legal action against those found responsible

Under the leadership of Chairperson Adv. Huma Abbasi, Young Leaders Organization stands with Fahmida’s family and urges authorities to act without delay. Silence is not an option justice must prevail.

We have fought in the media, provided psychological support through our video series, and now, we are bringing the data to the authorities.
