Strengthening Access to Safe Blood

Our blood bank at Baqai Medical University has been operational since May 2025 through a collaborative initiative between Muhammadi Blood Bank and Baqai Medical University.

Since its establishment, the facility has issued 651 units of blood and blood components, ensuring timely transfusion support for patients in need.

Together, we continue to advance accessible, safe, and quality blood transfusion services.

Karachi Police Office (KPO) Welfare Branch Visits Muhammadi Blood Bank

Lady Police Inspector Ms.
Sharafat Khan, In-Charge Welfare Branch, Karachi Police Office (KPO), along with Inspector Malik Habib and Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shahid, visited Muhammadi Blood Bank.

During the visit, a detailed discussion was held with the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Syed Mehdi Rizvi of Muhammadi Blood Bank regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Karachi Police Office in 2021 and the services provided under this collaboration since then.

The KPO delegation expressed their satisfaction with the quality of services being provided by Muhammadi Blood Bank and appreciated the organization's continued commitment to serving the personnel of Karachi Police.

On this occasion, CEO Syed Mehdi Rizvi, Ms. Sammar Fatima, Project Coordinator and Mr.Syed Najaf Manager Operations gave the delegation a visit of the different departments of Muhammadi Blood Bank and briefed them on its operations and services.

As a token of appreciation, Lady Inspector Sharafat Khan was presented with a commemorative shield on behalf of Muhammadi Blood Bank in recognition of the continued collaboration between Karachi Police Office and Muhammadi Blood Bank.

As part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Muhammadi Blood Bank and the University of Karachi, students from the Department of Physiology successfully completed their one-month Observership at Muhammadi Blood Bank.

Throughout the observership, the students received supervised introductory exposure to blood donor selection, donor screening, blood donation procedures, blood grouping,and routine blood bank workflow.

Upon successful completion of the program, the students were awarded Certificates of Observership in recognition of their participation and commitment to learning.

We congratulate all the students and wish them continued success in their academic journey and future professional endeavors.

For the past 20 years, Muhammadi Blood Bank & Thalassemia Centre, a project of Muhammadi Hematology, Oncology Services & Welfare Foundation, has been serving patients at NICVD Karachi.

Through our blood bank branch at NICVD, we have provided around 1.2 million units of blood and blood components to patients at highly subsidized rates.

We remain dedicated to supporting patients with safe, timely and affordable blood services.

We do this because we want every child to come to the centre with a smile. We want them to enjoy their time, make friends, and feel happy. Every child deserves to enjoy their childhood, not just come for treatment.

Join Hands with Muhammadi Welfare Foundation in Promoting Voluntary Blood Donation in Pakistan.

Over the past one year, 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 has been working with Muhammadi Welfare Foundation to promote voluntary blood donation and support patients in need.

Join Hands with Muhammadi Welfare Foundation in Promoting Voluntary Blood Donation in Pakistan.

For the past 6 years, Okhai Memon Youth Services has been working with Muhammadi Welfare Foundation to promote voluntary blood donation.

Through regular blood donation drives and awareness activities, the organization has encouraged many people to become voluntary blood donors and has always extended its support whenever patients needed blood.

In recognition of their valuable services, a Shield was presented to Okhai Memon Youth Services during the World Blood Donor Day 2026 ceremony held at Karachi Press Club. The Shield was presented by Dr. Dur-e-Naz Jamal, Secretary, Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority, and Mr. Ghulam Abbas Badami, Patron-in-Chief, Muhammadi Welfare Foundation.
