🧠 QUIZ COMPETITION — Celebrating Pakistan Through Learning at JASHAN-E-FATAH-O-AZADI 2026 🇵🇰
As part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2026, Clifton Defence Community - CDC organized an engaging Quiz Competition for the students of GBSS ECk ECk Zamzama & Primary School (Shireen Jinnah).
The quiz was designed to encourage students to learn, recall, and strengthen their basic knowledge of Pakistan’s history, independence, national identity, and important milestones — turning the celebration into an opportunity for both learning and patriotic engagement.
The students enthusiastically participated in the question-and-answer session, demonstrating their knowledge, confidence, and eagerness to learn. To further encourage participation and recognize correct answers, cash prizes were awarded to the students, generously sponsored by Unfolding Ghazal.

A special appreciation goes to Sir. Asif Chana, who served as the Quiz Host & Moderator. His energetic interaction, engaging style, and well-conducted question-and-answer session kept the students actively involved throughout the activity.

🇵🇰جشن فتح و آزادی (Independe Day Celebration)
A grand Independence Day Celebration was held by Clifton Defence Community (CDC) at Government Boys & Girls Secondary (Zamzama) & Primary School (Shireen Jinnah), with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and active participation by the students.
The ceremony commenced with the Flag Hoisting, led by CEO Cantonment Board Clifton - CBC and Chief Guest, Mr. Muhammad Umar Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik.
The celebrations featured a variety of engaging activities, including Speech Competitions, in which students securing First, Second, and Third positions were awarded shields and prizes in recognition of their outstanding performances.
The students further added to the patriotic spirit of the occasion through inspiring Milli Naghmas and colourful Tableaus, showcasing their talent, creativity, and love for Pakistan.
The concluding segment was graced by SSP District south karachi, Mr. Mahzoor Ali, as the Chief Guest, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participating students and presented certificates, shields, and awards to the deserving participants and guests.
The event was also honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, including Ms. Syeda Sarwat Hassan, District Education Officer South, and Mr. Ahmed Murtaza, Assistant Commissioner Civil Lines.
Members of the media also interacted with Chairman CDC Mr. Mehmood Ul Hassan Awan, President CDC Mr. Abdur Rehman, CEO CBC, SSP South, and DEO South, discussing the Independence Day celebrations, the significance of Pakistan’s freedom, and the importance of organizing such activities to promote patriotism and national spirit among the younger generation.
The event was attended by officers and representatives from the Cantonment Board Clifton, Police, Education Department, District Administration, and Clifton Defence Community (CDC), along with school management, teachers, organizers, students, and distinguished guests.
A Vote of Thanks was delivered by President CDC, Mr. Abdur Rehman, who expressed his sincere gratitude to the school management and Education Department for their valuable cooperation and support in making the event a wonderful and memorable celebration.
Special appreciation was extended to Headmaster Primary Mr. Mohibullah Shah, Headmaster Secondary Mr. Ali Hassan, and Assistant Education Officer Ms. Saima K. Niazi for their excellent coordination and cooperation in successfully organizing the event.
Ms. Huma Baig and Mr. Rashid Zafar, both Senior Executives at CDC, jointly judged the Speech Competition with great fairness, honesty, and professionalism. They also announced the names of the winning participants during the event. We sincerely thank both of them for their valuable time, efforts, and contribution.
The celebration reflected a beautiful spirit of patriotism, unity, learning, talent, and national pride, bringing together the administration, education sector, law enforcement, Cantonment Board, Clifton Defence Community, school management, teachers, and students to celebrate the freedom and spirit of Pakistan.
