MoHR in collaboration with UN Women Pakistan, the Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh, the Sindh Commission on the Status of Women and the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh on Human Rights, participated in a Special Session on Femicide to reaffirm the collective commitment to ending gender-related killings of women and girls.
The session concluded with a Joint Communiqué calling for stronger accountability, survivor-centred protection mechanisms, improved data collection systems, and coordinated efforts to address the root causes of violence against women and girls.
Participants emphasized that crimes committed in the name of so-called “honour” have no justification and that preventing such violence requires sustained action by government institutions, civil society, media, educators, religious leaders and communities.

Every acid attack survivor deserves dignity, respect, and equal opportunities in society.
Easy access to acid must be strictly regulated to prevent such horrific crimes.

many of you know, Najeeb Memon was brutally murdered at Café Aura in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Today, we met with his brother, Mubshir, and assured him that we will stand by his side in the pursuit of justice and provide our full support throughout this difficult time.

We pray that justice is served for Najeeb and that his family is granted strength and patience during this ordeal.
