Subject: Important Announcement for Registered Engineers Graduated Before January 15, 2008
My Dear Engineers,
I hope this message finds you well. I am Engr Mukhtar A. Sheikh, the elected Vice Chairman of Pakistan Engineering Council-Sindh. I am pleased to inform you of a significant development that will benefit engineers who graduated before January 15, 2008, and still maintain the status of a Registered Engineer.
Through my personal efforts; the Management Committee of PEC, has approved that those engineers who fall under the mentioned category (RE) can now become Professional Engineers (PE) without undergoing the EPE exams and without the requirement of CPD points, which were previously mandatory. Instead, an interview before the Enrolment Committee will be conducted.
I strongly advise all engineers who meet the criteria to take the full advantage of this opportunity. You can apply online via https://portal.pec.org.pk// at your earliest convenience to upgrade your status to a Professional Engineer. Following scanned documents shall be required to you while submitting application for PE:
• Color copy of CNIC (both sides)
• Picture (Blue background Passport size)
• Competency Profile duly signed/ Resume showing career highlights
• Paid Fee challan amounting to Rs. 5,500/- (Fee challan can be downloaded from portal)
For additional information and details, please visit the nearest PEC office or log on to www.pec.org.pk. If you encounter any difficulties during the process, please feel free to reach out to me on WhatsApp at the following numbers: 0333-3001222 and 0300-3401222 (message only).
I look forward to your proactive participation in this endeavor.
Best regards,
Engr Mukhtar A. Sheikh
Vice Chairman
Pakistan Engineering Council-Sindh
