A night of profound reflection, gratitude, and vision. Habib University’s annual President’s Dinner, themed "The Next Chapter Begins," celebrated the incredible journey of the Class of 2026 and the visionary Mohsineen who make it all possible.

From Sammer Sultan’s vital reminder to guard our intellect, to President Wasif Rizvi’s powerful metaphor of safeguarding the future, the evening highlighted what happens when we invest in leaders of tomorrow.

Janita Baloch and Muhammad Ibad’s reflections vividly demonstrated the true essence of equity: rewriting the narrative of what is possible when access meets opportunity.

The torch now passes to the Class of 2026.

On May 22nd, 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗯 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 hosted its annual 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁'𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 under the theme "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀." In her keynote address, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻, Co-Chairwoman of Shan Foods and benefactor of the 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 at Habib University, left graduates with a vital reminder: "𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 in a world that is designed to keep you 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱."

In his address to the 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗻 and graduating students, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘃𝗶 turned to the metaphor of the 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲'𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗽, a caution against entrusting the world's fate to the 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀. In the right hands, such as those of our Mohsineen, the 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱, and that torch now passes to the 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

This impact came alive during the 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 segment, where graduating scholars 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗵 and 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗯𝗮𝗱 shared their journeys, honoring the Mohsineen who chose to 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗱𝗱𝘀 so students from all walks of life could thrive on an 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱.

On 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁, Habib University’s 𝗗𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗗𝗦𝗦𝗘) hosted the annual 𝗗𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 (𝗗𝗨𝗥𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲).

The campus became a vibrant hub of intellectual exchange, bringing together bright young minds, faculty, and industry experts. We were honored to welcome our keynote speaker, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗜𝗵𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝘆𝘆𝘂𝗯 𝗤𝗮𝘇𝗶 (globally renowned professor of Computer Science at LUMS), who shared invaluable insights into the future of digital health, information integrity, and trustworthy AI systems, through his talk titled, “𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀, 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗨𝘀.”

From groundbreaking student presentations in 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 to critical insights on 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, undergraduate researchers from Habib University and participating institutions across the nation showcased how 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 can address pressing global challenges.
