Friends of Little Hearts Pediatric Cardiology Celebrated its 3rd Anniversary alongside the inauguration of our newly installed Patient Elevator, aimed at enhancing comfort and accessibility for our young patients and their families.

The event was honored by our Honorable Chief Guest, Mr. Rehan Iqbal Baloch, Secretary Health Sindh, accompanied by Medical Superintend
Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi and, Prof Najma Patel , Senior Pediatric Cardiologist.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Faculty of Pediatrics, HOD Prof. Aman Ullah Lail, Prof. Nawaz Lashari, HOD Adult Cardiology, Prof. Akram Sultan, President Pakistan Cardiac Society, Dow 97 Foundation Alumni, PWA Alumni, and all the doctors who were present. Your support continues to inspire us to provide compassionate care for little hearts every day.

What a vibrant day spent with laughter, color and excitement all around! Children enjoyed face painting, jumping castle thrills, popcorn & candy floss treats, along with a magical show that made everyone smile. 💛✨

Alhamdulillah, with the blessings of Allah, support and prayers of our well-wishers and the unwavering dedication of our team, Friends of Little Hearts (FLH) has achieved yet another significant milestone.

We are pleased to announce that FLH has been officially certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (P*P) as meeting the standards prescribed for non-profit organizations by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The P*P certification is a prestigious recognition that underscores FLH’s commitment to organizational transparency, governance, and effectiveness. This achievement marks a vital step in our journey of progressive institutional development, ensuring enhanced trust and accountability in the eyes of donors, partners, and regulatory bodies.

This certification is part of a broader trajectory of legal and administrative growth. FLH is already a registered non-profit entity with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the Sindh Charity Commission (SCC), and this recent P*P certification further consolidates the legal standing and operational credibility.

friends of Little Hearts is proud to share that our Healthcare Internship and Volunteer Program for students of grades 9 to 11 was a tremendous success.

Students found the Basic Life Support (BLS) session particularly valuable and had the heartwarming opportunity to spend time with young patients—bringing smiles to their faces through kindness and connection.

They also led impactful health awareness sessions for patients’ families and helped raise an impressive Rs. 121,000 in donations to support hospital initiatives.

Many students expressed a desire for a longer program and more opportunities to engage with healthcare professionals, reflecting their passion and dedication.

We’re grateful for their participation and feedback, which will help us make future programs even more meaningful and inspiring.

We are proud to contribute to the care of thalassemic patients by monitoring the side effects of chronic anemia and iron overload on the heart, as well as managing long-term complications associated with the condition.
