We believe in the all-round awareness and development of students. Almost everyone has regular activities to shop at the mini-market to meet their daily needs. A Minimarket is a wonderful place for children to be made aware of and learn about different kinds of foods and other things available there. On their visit to the mini-market, children were made to identify the types of different things found there.
HOPE FOR LIFE FOUNDATION created a MINI-MARKET with our students' program that was developed by educators, to create a positive environment so that all students can enjoy and socialize with their friends. HLF staff were shown different things about the minimarket ( paper stems, pencils, colors, cakes, candies, etc.). They often offer a friendly and personalized service, with staff who are knowledgeable about the products they sell.
Educators explained to them how things are bought, billed, and paid for. This taught them the feeling of responsibility. Some students shared their shopping experiences which they had with their parents in the same mini-market. This allows students to see, smell, and money handling and learn about commodities that are available in a shopping cart and how they are purchased by people for their daily use.
On the whole, it was a fun-filled learning experience for each child. We hope these experiences will help our students to make the right choice when it comes to a healthy environment.
An important aspect of this program is to ensure that all students with or without disabilities are fully integrated into the mini-market and can participate in, enjoy, and have social interaction with peers.
