The Pakistan France Business Alliance (PFBA), in collaboration with the Economic Department of the Embassy of France, organized a high-profile event at Mövenpick Hotel Karachi dedicated to strengthening the economic, professional, and cultural ties between France and Pakistan.

The event was graced by the presence of Alexis Chahtahtinsky, Consul General of France in Karachi.

Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch inaugurated the Business Forum, underscoring Pakistan’s steady economic growth and its appeal as a promising trade and investment partner for France. She highlighted a range of investor-friendly initiatives and institutional support mechanisms designed to facilitate trade and attract foreign investment. Emphasizing the importance of collaboration, she encouraged businesses from both countries to explore partnerships, including joint ventures and mutually beneficial ventures.

The Pakistan–France Trade and Investment Forum, held in Paris, brought together government representatives, business leaders, industry experts, and members of trade organizations from both countries. Organized following the 2024 understanding between President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the forum aimed to strengthen economic ties between Pakistan and France.

The event provided a platform to connect enterprises, exchange ideas, and explore new avenues for bilateral cooperation, while showcasing Pakistan’s trade and investment potential. More than seventy companies from diverse sectors—including agriculture, information technology, textiles, energy, and tourism—participated in the forum.

French speakers, including Thierry Pflimlin of the France-Pakistan Business Council at MEDEF International, Patricia Glasel of the Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France (CCEF), and Ardavan Amir-Aslani, noted the growing momentum in economic relations between the two countries. They highlighted investment opportunities in Pakistan and stressed the need to strengthen private-sector linkages to further boost bilateral trade and investment.

The plenary session was followed by breakout and business-to-business (B2B) meetings, focusing on key sectors such as textiles, agriculture and dairy, and information technology, with the aim of identifying concrete areas for collaboration.

The Pakistan–France Business Alliance (PFBA), in collaboration with Ambassador Magazine, organized a high-level corporate event titled “French Presence in Pakistan” on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Mövenpick Hotel, Karachi.

The event was convened to recognize and honor French companies operating in Pakistan for their sustained and meaningful contributions to the country’s economic development, including foreign investment, employment generation, skills development and training, technology transfer and innovation, institutional support, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
