The color of mehndi had not even faded from their hands when a beautiful couple was killed simply for choosing to marry by their own choice.

In our society, people are still murdered in the name of “Karo Kari” and so-called honor, just because they chose love and marriage with their own consent.

But even in Islam and Hadith, parents are taught to ask for their daughters’ happiness and permission before marriage. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself asked for his daughter’s consent at the time of her marriage.

Parents should respect their children’s feelings and give importance to their happiness, so they never feel forced to take extreme steps like running away or doing court marriage in fear of rejection.
Yes, children running away for marriage is also wrong, but killing them in the name of honor is an even greater ظلم — one that destroys not only lives, but humanity itself.

Mr. Sarfraz Ali Siyal is a highly educated and talented personality who has completed his Master’s Degree in Plant Breeding & Genetics and is currently serving as an Agriculture Extension Officer in the Government of Sindh.

He holds a remarkable distinction of being the first person in his family to successfully pass the commission examination, which is a matter of great pride not only for his family but also for the entire Siyal community.

With strong expertise in the field of Agriculture, Plant Breeding, and Genetics, he is actively contributing towards the development of the agriculture sector and guiding farmers with modern agricultural knowledge and practices.
