Objective
A community engagement session was held at Abdul Majeed Guest House Ghazi Goth on 04 April 26 The focus was on the upcoming OPV campaign, RI vaccination, and the importance of routine immunization.

Discussion
The session started with the recitation of the Holy Quran,
I shared the objectives and briefed participants on current Globel Polio Cases and environmental samples in Karachi.

Discussed about 12 vaccine preventable diseases, the way polio spreads, and local challenges in GHAZI GOTH also brief the importance of the polio vaccination and shared the upcoming polio campaign will start on 13 April 2026, requesting full support for PEI teams in their respective streets.

Question & Answer
Participants raised their Concern's about vaccination safety, the spread of the polio virus, and the April Opv campaign. We responded in detail to each question, which helped clarify doubts and strengthen confidence in the vaccination programs.

SUBJECT: NATIONAL IMMUNIZATION DAYS (NIDS) 13TH TO 19TH APRIL, 2026.

Keeping in view the persistent Poliovirus circulation in the country, the National EOC
in consultation with Provincial EOCs has planned National Immunization Days (NIDs) in all
provinces of Pakistan.

2.
All 30 districts of Sindh Province are fully included in the campaign, targeting
approximately 10.6 million children under five years of age. bOPV shall be administered to the
eligible children from 13th to 19th April 2026. Additionally, Vitamin A supplement will also be
administered along with OPV to eligible children during the campaign in all districts of Sindh.

3.
To further strengthen the quality of the campaign, EOC Sindh advises adhering to the
key preparedness and implementation guidelines as attached.

4.
All DEOCs are required to plan and execute campaign activities in line with the
PEOC-endorsed plan (attached as Annexure-I Countdown of Activities for NIDs April 2026).
