The 2nd IQC Meeting at the University of Jhang was chaired by the Vice Chancellor on 28-04-2026. The meeting focused on strengthening the IQC system, discussion on the QAA policy, departmental PREE activities, accreditation status of BS programs, LMS activation, and improvement of the classroom environment to enhance academic quality and institutional performance.

Unlocking Earth’s Insights with Google Earth Engine! 🌍

The Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Jhang, under the umbrella of GYM-Club (HEC, Pakistan), successfully organized a three-day hands-on training program titled “Google Earth Engine: Cloud-Based Geospatial Analysis for Modern Remote Sensing” from 2nd to 4th February 2026.

We are grateful to our resource person, Mr. Muhammad Haseeb (Gold Medalist, MSc – University of the Punjab; M.Phil – UET Lahore), for equipping students and researchers with practical skills in cloud-based geospatial analysis.

Special appreciation goes to Dr. Abdul Basit (QEC) for honoring the event with his presence and for distributing shields and certificates to the participants.

Climate Change Awareness Seminar – A Powerful Call to Action!

Under the dynamic umbrella of the Green Youth Movement Club, a thought-provoking Climate Change Seminar was successfully held at Government Postgraduate College Jhang. The event featured a highly insightful presentation by Dr. Khadijah ShakerUllah, who shed light on the pressing realities of climate change and its impacts. She also engaged in an interactive Q&A session, responding to the students' thought-provoking questions with great clarity and depth.

The seminar was graced by esteemed guests including Deputy Director Colleges Mr. Naeem Khan Lashaari, Professor Muhammad Younis, Professor Zafer Iqbal, Professor Tariq Shehzad, and the respected Principal Mr. Mehdi Hayat Khan. Their presence and words of encouragement boosted the morale of all participants.

A huge number of students actively participated in the session, reflecting the growing enthusiasm of youth towards environmental protection and climate action.

Together, we move one step closer to a sustainable and climate-resilient future!

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Salma Hameed, Focal person GYM-CLUB, who graciously received our distinguished guest;
- Mr. Fahad Shahbaz, Focal Person of PM's Youth Programme (renowned corporate lawyer, founder of Youth General Assembly, and Diana Award recipient)

Mr. Fahad Shahbaz engaged and have an insightful interaction and discussions on youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development with the Youth of University.
Vice Chancellor of University Prof. Dr. Faheem Aftab and Mr. Fahad Shahbaz participated in Spring tree plantation drive.
