Alliance Française de Lahore, with NESCAFÉ, is bringing International Music Mela (Fête de la Musique), and is inviting musicians and bands to apply for a chance to perform live in Lahore on 18 July 2026.

Whether your sound is acoustic, experimental, folk, fusion, indie, classical, electronic or something entirely your own, this is your chance to bring it to the stage.

Open doors. New connections. A day made for our community.

Open Day at Alliance Française de Lahore brought together students, families, French learners, and friends of AFL for a warm celebration of language, culture, and exchange.

From the DELF certificate ceremony to games, VR activities, library moments, and conversations, the day reflected what AFL stands for: learning beyond the classroom and culture experienced together.

Exhibition of Emerging Artists from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design
The Alliance Française de Lahore is delighted to invite you to discover a unique exhibition showcasing the creative work of students from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD).
This exhibition explores the rich heritage of French fashion through a series of fashion illustrations inspired by different historical periods, alongside pointillist landscape paintings. Through these artworks, the students demonstrate their engagement with fashion history, artistic techniques, and contemporary visual expression.
Bringing together the work of more than seventy emerging artists, the exhibition celebrates creativity, innovation, and cultural dialogue between France and Pakistan.
We would be honored by your presence as we celebrate the talent and vision of a new generation of artists and designers.

Set during the 1946 Battle of Hanoi, the film follows a young fighter who takes shelter in a pho vendor’s home as the city is caught in the violence and uncertainty of war. Through love, memory, music, and survival, the film captures a deeply human story from a defining moment in Vietnam’s history.

A strange, poetic, and quietly funny road journey through the remote landscapes of Morocco, Déserts follows Mehdi and Hamid as they travel from village to village to recover loans, until their ordinary mission takes an unexpected turn.

Blending humour, mystery, and human encounters, the film opens a window into lives, landscapes, and stories rarely seen on screen.

Ahmer Farooq shares his experience of the Artist Residencies in France — a programme by the French Embassy in Pakistan, offering Pakistani artists the opportunity to research, create, collaborate, and grow internationally.

Open to artists from theatre, music, cinema, literature, visual arts, fashion, design, and more. French is not required.

The residency includes €1700 grant, round-trip flight, visa, insurance/travel coverage, and access to French artistic institutions.

Residency period: 15 Sept – 15 Dec 2026
Deadline: Friday, 12 June 2026
