Founder’s Personal Note

Back in 2007, when I first started to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Engineering, I never imagined that I will ever have a need to learn and practice marketing. My early memory with regards to Facebook is that of some students playing FarmVille between classes. I was not really interested. But my immersion with mainstream social media first began late in 2011, when I joined LinkedIn with a promise to land myself a decent job. As an active job seeker on LinkedIn, I developed my personal brand and trained myself for multiple strategies that would eventually help me break into the corporate world.

I was shy, timid, and insecure – and, was always nervous about speaking. However, I knew how to solve problems. When opportunities finally started to knock on door, I used my skills in writing, to make up for shortcomings in speech as means to helping important people deal with significant challenges.

In the middle of 2015, I remember telling a respected management executive at work that Waqas is a brand. A brand that has the ability to understand problems, research information, conceive ideas and effectively communicate good solutions in clear writing.

Between 2011 and 2016, I experienced the value of personal branding for myself. And then in 2017, came the time when I decided that I want to help other people to identify themselves as their most valuable asset.
