Donation exempted from income Tax. **All People and institutions of Gilgit Baltistan are tax exempted under the Gilglit Baltistan Council income tax (Adaptation) Act, 2012. for onward distribution towards social cause of the community, education, health, general & Emergency Relief, nutrition, poverty alleviation, water supply and drainage, road and other infrastructure. b- To formulate and execute
projects of schools, dispensaries, health units, hospitals, ,medical camps, madrasas, vocational institutions, teacher’s training college, inter/degree colleges, educational academies, technical training centers, and schools for disables and orphans. These projects would be both for boys/men and girls/women. c- To help the ignored population in improving their environmental conditions and raising their living standard by taking steps to end poverty by providing educational facilities, training skills and similar activities. d- To plan and execute various projects, dealing with human needs of the population of the area, rehabilitation of refugees and disabled persons for their social and economic developments, vocational training of youths in order to create job opportunities, construction and development in the rural area by community development in different fields such as water supply, drainage, health, education, nutrition and social welfare, and such other activities that can increase their productivity by imparting skill such as handicrafts including needle work, woodwork, etc. e- To organize efforts for the training of local manpower such as to convert them into effective and efficient skilled hands. f- To help develop the area and its land resources such as to get socio-economic uplift by various means including construction and creation of townships, settlements and villages and its maintenance and improvement, building roads, bridges, markets, canals, etc. In addition, efforts will be directed to build market, warehouse, clubs, schools, madrasas, colleges, health centers, hospitals, reading rooms, park, gardens, playgrounds, recreational places, etc. The main theme of these efforts will be to give better quality of life at the village level. g- To develop agriculture in its broader sense, in order to establish, maintain and even subsidize centers, institutes and faculties for imparting training facilities for the population and local youth and hold conferences etc. So that the cause of education and research is enhanced and thus to advance the cause of education and learning in all aspects of rural development. h- To establish farms and business information centers and also to provide/procure the provision by others or in venture with others including consultancy and advisory activities in agriculture especially in such branches as crop raising, livestock breeding and dairy farming. Consequently, to do all acts so that artificial manure and fertilizers, chemicals, pesticides and other agriculture, products required by the population in developmental activities are provided easily. i- To take special steps to improve the environmental conditions of the area and formulate projects independently as well as in collaboration with similar/agencies including Government agencies to undertake projects for improvements of the environmental conditions of the area. j- To do all acts in the interest of the people which may include tourisms develop housing facilities, environmental development, transport of all fashion and other cultural activities.
