Objectives
To establish Basic Health Units Maternal Child Health (MCH) centers providing quality PHC and MCH Services from the community to first referral level. To provide nutrition education and treatment of malnutrition
To raise awareness amongst the general public about common diseases and personal hygiene and about women’s health, reproductive health, and violence against
women
To build capacities of health staff in the area and strengthen the institutional capacity to improve health status in the long term. To create an enabling environment for people living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis (HCV/HBV) that emphasizes acceptance and life quality improvement, especially for women and children
To educate and raise community awareness on the transmission of HIV/AIDS, HCV/HBV, prevention, social stigmas relating to HIV/AIDS, and prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMCT)
To empower poor and marginalized people through participation in community development programs and provides opportunities for human development in the context of skills development and empowerment through vocational and life skills trainings. To provide a friendly environment for disseminating knowledge and skills and provide a learning opportunity for young people to acquire practical skills for gaining jobs/employment. To building the capacity of local communities to identify economic opportunities of entrepreneurship and uplift and improve the quality of life especially for the marginalized population of the rural region. To create the sustainable enterprises through tapping of local resources, generation of funds for support of other GDF programs and activities. To provide access to quality education in rural areas and improve the quality of education and the school buildings. To work on sustainable livelihoods and facilitate greater economic freedom through livelihoods training and self-help groups
To improve Agriculture for marginalized societies and increase land fertility, seed viability, and yield through vermicomposting and sustainable agriculture methods. To provide assistance in cash and/or in kind to disadvantaged families and poor individuals living in difficult circumstances. To provide care and services to people with special needs and to improve the quality of life and rehabilitate those with special needs. To establish youth development centers for youth. To develop and improve the linkages with relevant government, non-government and other agencies.
