ALLAH (SWT) says in Holy Quran:
"And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, [Saying], We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude. Indeed, we fear from our ALLAH a Day austere and distressful." (Surah al-Insan 8-9-10)
Al'raf Youth Initiative (AAYI) is a grass root level organization whose slogan is "Perking up
souls". It was established to help the poor and needy and to spread awareness and education among the community regarding their basic rights. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy, generosity and selflessness, the trust aims to alleviate poverty and suffering across the areas of Wah Cantt and Taxila initially and later expanding the project to other nearby cities. Our objectives are:
To fulfill our responsibility towards humanity regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, location, religion, color, cultural diversity and social background. To sponsor orphans and widows and ensuring their rights are fulfilled. To implement income generation projects to help victims break their dependence on hand-outs. To work for the development of Transgenders and to raise their voice on all the possible available platforms. AAYI is committed to serve humanity by integrating resources for people in need. We believe that by working together, we can restore to man his rightful dignity and respect; a life of pride and responsibility. The rights of those who are neglected and oppressed are fulfilled by providing sustainable development solutions relating to shelter, education, health, and spiritual wellbeing. "It has long been recognized that an essential element in protecting human rights was a widespread knowledge among the community of what their rights are and how they can be defended."
