Under the Chiragh-se-Chiragh (C2C) initiative, team SFEA just concluded a two-day youth democracy exposure visit in Islamabad.

This event marked the culmination of the project, which has successfully reached over 5,800 direct beneficiaries across four districts. To celebrate this, 30 of our best-performing youth leaders were invited to Islamabad from UMT (Lahore & Sialkot campuses), Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University Islamabad and Government College University Faisalabad (Hafizabad campus) for this session.

It was a great opportunity for these students to interact directly with experts and officials to understand the country's parliamentary and electoral processes.

Throwback to our two-day training on Youth Leadership and Civic Engagement at the GCUF Hafizabad Campus!

Under the Chiragh-se-Chiragh (C2C) project, Team SFEA worked with a fantastic group of students who were keen to learn about democracy, leadership, and community mobilization.

The best part was seeing the students come up with their own social action plans to tackle issues at the grassroots level. Great to see so much energy from the Hafizabad students.

Today, we are sharing a quick look at one of the Social Action Projects from the students of UMT Lahore.

During a seminar they conducted as part of their Social Action Project under the Chiragh-se-Chiragh initiative, they noticed a lot of the same questions and confusion coming from the audience. To address those points, they put together this role play between a Senior Journalist and a Young Voter.

The conversation is based on the actual feedback they received during the session. It’s a practical way to clear up the real issues the youth are thinking about right now.

Our Chiragh-se-Chiragh journey continues! We are incredibly proud of the diverse Social Action Projects (SAPs) being led by passionate students across their communities.

Today, we’re highlighting a vital initiative from the students of UMT Lahore.

Title: From NIC to the Ballot Box
The Mission: Turning awareness into action.

Through an interactive mock election, these students demonstrated that a vote isn’t just a piece of paper, it starts with the responsibility of NIC registration. By bringing the “polling station” to campus, they’ve paved the way for a more informed and active electorate.

Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) recently wrapped up an intensive two-day training on Youth Leadership and Civic Engagement at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Sialkot Campus, under its project, Chiragh se Chiragh (C2C).

The sessions were designed to empower young leaders for active citizenship, equipping 28 enthusiastic students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to lead and contribute positively to their communities.

Led by our Executive Director, Raja Shoaib Akbar, and Senior Program Lead, Khurram A Malik, the atmosphere was charged with dialogue and a shared vision for a better Pakistan.

We’re proud to see these students embrace their roles as active citizens.

Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) organized the closing ceremony of the Chiragh se Chiragh (C2C) program at the Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), Hafizabad Campus.

The event marked the successful conclusion of a transformative journey centered on youth leadership, civic awareness, and democratic engagement. Bringing together 64 students from three intensive training sessions, the ceremony celebrated their collective learning, personal growth, and a shared commitment to driving positive change.
The following distinguished guests honored the achievers by distributing certificates:

• Dr. Khurram Ashfaq, Director of Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) Hafizabad Campus.
• Mr. Raja Shoaib Akbar , Executive Director of Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA).
• Mr. Khurram A Malik, Senior Program Lead at Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA).

These young leaders are now equipped and inspired to champion civic responsibility and contribute meaningfully to the democratic fabric of Pakistan.

Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) organized the closing ceremony of the Chiragh se Chiragh (C2C) program at the International Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University Islamabad.

The event celebrated youth leadership, civic engagement, and the remarkable achievements of 23 inspiring young participants. The
ceremony was graced by the presence of:

• Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram, Director General of the International Islamic Research Institute (IRI).
• Raja Shoaib Akbar, Executive Director of Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA).
• Shabbir Ahmed, Senior Country Representative of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).

Through this initiative, these empowered youth are now ready to lead, advocate for civic responsibility, and make a lasting difference in their communities.
