In partnership with the Directorate of Literacy & Non-Formal Education (DL&NFE), Government of Sindh, Human Appeal is expanding access to quality non-formal education for out-of-school children.

In District Jacobabad, 40 Non-Formal Education (NFE) Centers are now supporting over 1,200 children who were previously out of school.

Beyond classrooms, we’re creating a complete learning environment with free textbooks, stationery, clean water, hygiene facilities, and trained facilitators.
Together, we’re restoring hope and building brighter futures, because every child deserves a chance to learn.

Taking the first steps towards ensuring no child is left behind 📚

As part of the 'No Child Left Behind' initiative led by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, our trained enumerators have officially begun door-to-door household surveys in BaraKahu, Islamabad.

These dedicated teams are working on the ground to identify out-of-school children, collecting vital data through the NFEMIS application to help ensure that every child is accounted for and given the opportunity to access education.
This marks an important milestone in our collaboration with government and partners, turning plans into action and reaching communities directly.

Together, we are moving closer to a future where every child is in school and no one is left behind.

In June 2025, District Battagram was declared open-defecation-free by the district government, making it the first district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the second in Pakistan, to achieve this status.

This was achieved through an 18-month project funded by UNICEF Pakistan and implemented by Human Appeal in the districts of Battagram and Torghar.

Eid Gifts 🎁 at Aminah Centre, Lahore

Eid is a time of joy, especially for children but for many families with low wages, celebrating fully is a distant dream. To bring joy to deserving street children, Human Appeal distributed 100 Eid gifts at the Aminah Protection and Learning Centre in Lahore this Ramadan. Each gift pack included two sets of unstitched clothes, bangles, myrtle, and biscuits, ensuring these children could enjoy a memorable Eid despite their circumstances.

According to research by the World Food Programme, Nearly half of an average household’s monthly expenditure goes towards food , which is why it’s a dream for a family with low wages to buy new clothes on this occasion. Through these gifts, Human Appeal uplifts the spirit of love & generosity, ensuring no child is left behind on this Eid ul Fitr. .

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Whoever gives a gift to a child on the day of Eid, it will be written as a charitable act for them.” (Ibn Majah)

Additionally, he (PBUH) encouraged sharing the blessings of Eid with those in need: “Eid is for the one who celebrates it by sharing with the poor.” (Ibn Qudamah).

A livelihood, a fresh start, a step towards dignity.

We have distributed 70 rickshaws in Tehsil Shujabad, District Multan, to families affected by the 2025 floods, helping them rebuild their lives with sustainable sources of income. Each rickshaw is more than transport; it’s a daily earning, a way to provide, and a path towards stability.
With a total of 190 rickshaws distributed across Karachi and Multan, we are turning hardship into opportunity, one family at a time.

We have distributed another 200 hot iftar meals as Fidya and Kaffarah in Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for our daily wage labourer brothers, while continuing to serve hot iftar meals daily to those in need.

Food insecurity remains a serious challenge in Pakistan. According to the World Food Programme, over 36 million people in the country face acute food insecurity, making initiatives like these vital during Ramadan.

In Islam, Fidya and Kaffarah allow those who cannot fast or who have broken a fast to feed people in need, turning acts of worship into acts of compassion for the community.

Through this effort, Human Appeal Pakistan is serving more than 41,000 hot iftar meals across the country, helping thousands of fasting brothers and sisters break their fast with dignity every day.

A set of keys. Three wheels. A whole new direction in life.

In Karachi, 50 individuals will now be driving their own rickshaws — not just vehicles, but livelihoods on wheels.

For many families, a rickshaw means daily income, school fees for children, groceries on the table, and the dignity of earning through honest work.

Through this initiative, Anzal Begum Foundation and Human Appeal are together distributing a total of 190 rickshaws in Karachi and Multan to help families steer toward financial stability.
