Under our campaign ’Making Mosques Sustainable’, Helping Hands, together with Underground Water Solutions, is on a mission to install Free Rainwater Harvesting Systems in 10 mosques across Islamabad.

By directing rainwater into existing borewells, we can naturally replenish the underground water table and prevent these wells from running dry.

The estimated cost per mosque ranges from 50,000 to 150,000 PKR. As a non-profit initiative, we rely on your generous support to make this a reality. Let’s come together to conserve our natural resources and ensure sustainable water access for our mosques.

URGENT UPDATE— Please Help Save Her Life ❤️‍🩹

This brave little girl is still battling serious health issues and needs our immediate help.

She is currently undergoing treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, where she is being treated for ‘Fungal Infective Endocarditis’ (a fungal infection of the heart valves), and the infection has spread to her lungs and lodged in her airway.

During her 6-day stay in the hospital, her family has spent nearly Rs. 900,000 on her treatment, medicines, tests and medical care. Unfortunately, her treatment is still ongoing and doctors have advised more intensive medical care and more tests.

Her father has spent almost all his financial resources trying to save his daughter’s life. He desperately needs our help to continue the treatment.

This is an urgent appeal. Every donation, no matter how small, can be helpful.

Helping Hands, in collaboration with RAAH-E-KHAIR | Gilgit-Baltistan , is working to provide an immediate temporary bridge for the people of khlanma Toromik whose existing bridge was completely destroyed by the floods.

At present, residents are forced to cross using a temporary cable arrangement. School-going children, women, and elderly people also use this unsafe route every day, facing serious difficulties and risks.

Our immediate plan is to construct a temporary wooden pedestrian bridge so the community can safely cross the stream until a permanent bridge can be built.

For this emergency solution, we need strong wooden logs, timber, and other essential construction materials.

Flood Relief Visit – Toromik, Rondu

Today, the Raah-e-Khair team visited the flood-affected area of Toromik, in collaboration with Helping Hands, where around 40 homes have been destroyed or severely damaged by the recent floods.

Families have lost their homes, livestock, and essential means of livelihood. The bridge used by local residents has also been completely washed away, making daily travel extremely difficult—especially for children going to school and women who need to travel for their everyday needs.

The immediate needs include:

• Clean drinking water and restoration of the water supply system
• Food and ration supplies for affected families
• Fodder for livestock
• Construction of a safe and accessible bridge

In the second phase, these families will need safe housing before the harsh winter arrives. Even a simple one-room house for each affected family can provide essential shelter and protection during the difficult months ahead.

Raah-e-Khair, in collaboration with Helping Hands, is committed to supporting these families and helping them rebuild their lives.

Together, we can restore hope, dignity, and a safer future for those affected by the floods.
