READ Foundation runs 624 educational institutions across Pakistan, serving 135,000 students, including 14,000 orphans with free education. READ Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 1994, dedicated to providing quality education and literacy to children across Pakistan — with a special focus on orphans and underprivileged communities. Education is the most powerful tool to tr

ansform lives and communities, yet millions of children in Pakistan do not have access to it. READ Foundation strives to make education accessible to every child, especially those who are orphaned or financially disadvantaged. Today, READ Foundation operates 624 educational institutions (422 formal schools, 120 literacy centers, 82 government-adopted schools), serving 135,000 students, including 14,000 orphans, with a network of 7,000+ teachers and staff. Through our Orphan Education Programme, orphan children receive completely free education, books, uniforms, and supplies, giving them dignity, confidence, and hope for a brighter future. Our schools are designed to be self-sustainable, with nominal fees for regular students, and financial support for those in need. Through school openings, campus building, and enhancement programs, we ensure communities without access to quality education have a chance to learn and grow.
