Shirakat Foundation invites sealed proposals from qualified and experienced individual consultants and registered organizations for the Development of the Enterprise Growth training module for Young Entrepreneurs.
Background:
Shirakat is implementing the European Union (EU) funded “MANZIL: Youth leadership transforms their communities for inclusive economic growth, climate action, and good governance “project. The project will enhance youth entrepreneurship and employment by training marginalized skill training beneficiaries who are self-employed or running businesses in entrepreneurship, enterprise management, and financial management, supported by expert mentorship and linkages to microfinance and markets.
Scope of work
The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
Develop a comprehensive Enterprise Growth Training module covering the following core areas: Entrepreneurship development and growth mindset Enterprise management (operations, human resources, customer relations) Financial management (bookkeeping, cash flow, profit analysis, reinvestment) Marketing and Brand Building (also digital marketing) Business planning for growth and sustainability Negotiation and Communication Skills Access to credit (understanding microfinance, loan applications, financial readiness) Market linkages (identifying markets, supply chains, branding, and customer acquisition)
Ensure the module includes participatory and learner centered methodologies suitable for youth with varying literacy levels and business experience.
Integrate case studies, practical exercises, tools, and templates that entrepreneurs can apply directly to their businesses. Develop a facilitator guide with step-by-step instructions, session plans, and facilitation tips. Create participant handouts, presentation slides, and visual aids to support effective delivery. Design assessment tools to measure pre and post training knowledge and skill gains. Incorporate gender sensitive approaches throughout the module to ensure inclusivity and address the specific needs of young women entrepreneurs. Present the module to the project team for validation and conduct the session with the project teams on the delivery of the manual. Revise and finalize the module based on feedback received. Translate the final module into Urdu to facilitate delivery in the target communities. Submit a final report documenting the module development process, methodology, and recommendations for implementation.
Eligibility Criteria
For individual consultants Master’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Development Studies, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field Minimum 7–10 years of experience in curriculum or training module development, preferably in the areas of entrepreneurship, enterprise development, or livelihoods. Proven expertise in designing participatory, learner-centered training materials for youth and marginalized communities. Strong understanding of entrepreneurship ecosystems, including microfinance, market linkages, and business development services. Demonstrated experience working with youth entrepreneurs, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds. Excellent language skills in English and Urdu (written and spoken) to ensure module accessibility and effective stakeholder engagement. Experience conducting validation workshops and incorporating feedback from staff. Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills with attention to detail.

Late submissions will not be considered.
