About CADR
Registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as a Non-Profit Organization, under section 42 of the companies act 2017, the Community Alliance for Development and Resilience (CADR) has recently been established working specifically in the field of health, education and environment with disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation as cross cutting themes in order to develop disaster resilient communities and sustainable infrastructure to withstand against the consequences of disasters threats and climate change implications. Although CADR has been registered during July 2018, however, the organization has long association came into existence as an off shoot of a private company registered as “Network of Disaster Management Practitioners (Pvt.) Ltd. known as NDMP”, since September 2011. CADR will help in mainstreaming DRR into education, health, environment and further to work for the disaster affected communities enabling them to be disaster resilient with absorbing capacities of shocks, threats or disasters. CADR is in the process of developing partnership with the development and disaster management stakeholders including government, non-government organizations, United Nations Organizations and financial banks and on other hands shall work with public private partnership.
