A delegation from JKSC QAU, led by Chairman Fahad Saleem and SVC Aneeq Raja, was honored to attend the Kashmir Conference 2026 at the special invitation of JKSO IIUI.

5 فروری صرف ایک تاریخ نہیں، بلکہ تجدیدِ عہد کا دن ہے۔ یہ دن پکارتا ہے ان ماؤں کو جن کے لعل چھین لیے گئے، ان نوجوانوں کو جن کی آنکھوں کے خواب چھین لیے گئے اور اس وادی کو جو آج بھی اپنے حقِ خودارادیت کی منتظر ہے۔
کشمیر کی آزادی تک، ہماری جدوجہد جاری رہے گی"۔ ہم کشمیری بہن بھائیوں کی لازوال قربانیوں کو سلام پیش کرتے ہیں اور اس عزم کا اعادہ کرتے ہیں کہ جب تک وادیِ گلپوش آزاد نہیں ہوتی، ہم ان کی آواز بن کر دنیا کے ہر فورم پر دستک دیتے رہیں گے۔

26جنوری بھارت کے لیے یومِ جمہوریہ ہے، مگر کشمیری عوام کے لیے یہ یومِ سیاہ ہے۔ اس دن کو کشمیر میں جبر، انسانی حقوق کی پامالی، اور حقِ خودارادیت کی مسلسل نفی کی علامت سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ تحریر اس تضاد کو اجاگر کرتی ہے کہ جہاں بھارت جمہوریت کا دعویٰ کرتا ہے، وہیں کشمیر میں پابندیاں، تشدد اور خاموشی مسلط ہے۔ یومِ سیاہ منانے کا مقصد عالمی ضمیر کو جھنجھوڑنا اور کشمیریوں کے حقِ خودارادیت کے لیے آواز بلند کرنا ہے، کیونکہ حقیقی جمہوریت عوام کی مرضی کے احترام سے جنم لیتی ہے، طاقت کے زور سے نہیں۔

On this day, 21st January, we solemnly remember the martyrs of the 1990 Gawkadal Bridge Massacre.
We pay our deepest respects and salute the innocent Kashmiri souls who laid down their lives while demanding their fundamental rights.
Their sacrifice stands as a painful reminder of the brutal oppression faced by the people of Kashmir.
Though decades have passed, the wounds remain fresh and the voices of the martyrs still echo for justice.
We honor their courage, their resistance, and their unwavering spirit.
May their sacrifices never be forgotten, and may truth and justice prevail.

For the first time in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), a woman civil servant has been elevated to the post of chief economist in the Planning and Development (P&D) department.
According to a Services and General Administration Department notification circulated on Thursday, Mahnaz Faheem, who was serving as chief of section (BS-19) in the P&D department, was promoted to BS-20 and appointed chief economist in the light of a decision taken by Selection Board-I, chaired by the chief secretary, on Dec 9 last year.
Ms Faheem joined AJK’s civil service in 1997 as a planning officer after obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
