Politics meets citizens. Where else does this really happen in Pakistan other than in Liberal Forum Pakistan (LFP), a countrywide civil society platform where all voices and all parties are heard. It is the only democratic NGO which renews and refreshes itself on a regular basis. LFP's action is based on the political philosophy of liberalism: Individual freedom, social responsibility, rule of law

, good governance, and of course democracy are the prerequisites for a progressive Pakistan. LFP seminars and workshops in rural and urban Pakistan are open to every citizen.

Article 19A of the Constitution of Pakistan gives every citizen of Pakistan "Freedom of speech and expression". With this vast fundamental right comes considerable responsibility. Sadly, the youth with access to the internet only cares about getting their ideas across without thinking of the consequences it could lead up to.
With the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom - Pakistan, FreedomGate Pakistan is conducting two days workshop on "Freedom of Expression with Responsibility" in on 15 and 16 July 2023.
The goal of this workshop would be to induce critical thinking in the youth and give them an understanding of hate speech and fake news. The idea is to make the workshop relatable and experiential, so the youth can apply the learnings in real life.
Anjbeen Soomro and Hawwa Fazal will be the workshop's Moderators. They both are FNF - International Academy for Leadership (IAF) alumni. Muhammad Anwar, Head of Programs & Administration, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, will coordinate the workshop.
Young participants for the workshop will be university students, journalists, teachers and civil society members. There will be diverse sessions. Religious minorities are also encouraged to apply.
You can apply until 10 July 2023 by completing the Google Form at https://forms.gle/UYanuxf62eXcCSVC7
Participation will be possible only after getting the confirmation. This workshop is for Lahore participants.
