Climate and disaster resilient reconstruction depends on the people overseeing it on the ground.

Supported by the Government of Germany through KfW Bankengruppe, , in partnership with the Government of Balochistan, brought together engineers and technical staff from 12 provincial government departments in Quetta for a three-day capacity-building workshop.

The workshop led to strengthening practical skills of the participants in monitoring reconstruction, quality assurance and field verification, helping improve oversight and support safer, more accountable and resilient post-flood reconstruction across Balochistan.

For many families in , access to safe water remains a daily challenge years after the 2022 floods, often requiring long journeys and reliance on limited sources.

With support from KOICA Pakistan Office / 파키스탄 사무소 and in partnership with the Planning and Development Board Sindh, is rehabilitating 10 solar-powered community water supply schemes, improving access to safe water for more than 16,000 people, including 8,800 women.

By bringing water closer to communities, the initiative aims to ease a daily burden for people like Nadeem, whose story reflects the challenges many families still face.

What happens when there is too much water or too little? For 259.6 million Pakistanis, water insecurity is an everyday reality.

Parliamentary SDGs Secretariat and convened a parliamentary seminar on Water Governance to explore practical, low-cost solutions to improve access to safe, reliable water and reduce the impacts of floods and water scarcity.

Under ’s National Governance Programme, supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Mohsin Leghari, Former Senator and Water Governance Expert, shared a study on provincial water sharing, highlighting three priorities:

🏛️ Strengthening Parliamentarians’ role in shaping water governance
🔧 Stronger technical support for water governance institutions
📏 More accurate water data that everyone can trust

The Supreme Court of Pakistan inaugurated its first Court Annexed Mediation Centre under the European Union in Pakistan 🇪🇺 funded Deliver Justice Project, with support from . The Centre provides an alternative way to resolve disputes faster, helping reduce case backlogs and shaping a more accessible justice system that leaves no one behind.
