💚 World Mental Health Day 2025

This October 10, we stand together under the theme: “Access to Services — Mental Health in Catastrophes & Emergencies.”

In times of crisis — natural disasters, conflict, floods, displacement — it’s not just physical injuries that lurk on the sidelines. Mental health suffers too. People most affected often lose access to the care and support they desperately need.

Strengthening Immunization Services Across Balochistan! 🌍

Dopasi Foundation, in collaboration with EPI Balochistan and with the support of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, has successfully completed capacity-building trainings for vaccinators and Lady Health Workers (LHWs) across all four project districts:
✅ Sherani
✅ Bolan
✅ Turbat
✅ Lasbela

📚 4 session in each district were conducted making it a total of 16 training sessions, engaging over 300 government health staff to strengthen their knowledge and skills in effective vaccine delivery and community outreach.

These sessions conducted under the supervision of Dr. Aftab Hussain Kakar, Provincial Coordinator EPI Balochistan, are part of Dopasi’s ongoing commitment to enhancing health systems and ensuring equitable access to immunization for every child in Pakistan - Reaching the Unreached!

As part of the Fast Track the Cure (FTTC) initiative, Dopasi Foundation is bringing hope to the hardest-to-reach communities by raising awareness about the safety and efficacy of shorter regimens for Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB).

Our teams are:
✅ Engaging people affected by TB/DR-TB, their families, colleagues, and healthcare providers
✅ Reaching underserved groups – coal miners, transgender communities, madrassah students, brick kiln & factory workers, women, orphanages, and old age homes
✅ Spreading awareness in health facilities, medical colleges, and universities through posters and direct outreach

Together, we are making sure no one is left behind in the fight against TB.

🌍 Deploying Innovation, Reaching the Unreached 🌍

At Dopasi Foundation, we believe innovation must travel to the farthest corners if we are to achieve true equity in TB and lung health. With the support of Canada’s International Development – Global Affairs Canada, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, through the Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH Initiative, we are breaking barriers and bringing life-saving services to communities that have never before had access.

📍 Baba & Bhit Islands and coastal communities—long excluded from essential health services—now have access to:
✅ Ultra-portable Digital X-ray with AI for advanced TB active case finding
✅ Comprehensive lung health screening – COPD, asthma, pneumonia, lung cancer & more
✅ Point-of-care diagnostics with peak flow and portable spirometry

🚀 In a national first, we have also pioneered point-of-care TB tongue swab testing—a fast, less invasive, and accessible solution that brings TB diagnosis closer to underserved populations.

This is more than service delivery—it is proof that innovation, when deployed with purpose and equity, can transform the lives of communities once thought unreachable.
