Dopasi Foundation proudly hosted the Project Closing Ceremony and Stakeholder Appreciation Event for the HPV vaccination initiative, bringing together government leadership, development partners, and key stakeholders to celebrate the collective achievements made in strengthening routine immunization and protecting adolescent girls from cervical cancer.
The event was graced by Dr Syeda Rashida Batool, District Health Officer Islamabad, Dr. Irshad Ali Jokhio, Director General Health Services; Ms. Huma Khawar, Strategic Advisor CSO Engagement MannionDaniels, alongside representatives from WHO, UNICEF, JHPIEGO, CHIP, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and other valued partners.
Dr. Syeda Rashida Batool commended Dopasi Foundation and its partners for their commitment to expanding access to HPV vaccination and welcomed the integration of the HPV vaccine into Pakistan's Routine Immunization Programme. She highlighted this milestone as a significant step towards preventing cervical cancer and safeguarding the health of future generations.
The ceremony concluded with a shared commitment to sustaining the gains achieved, strengthening routine immunization systems, and ensuring equitable access to life-saving vaccines for every child and adolescent across Pakistan.
