Proud to see Dopasi Foundation’s work contributing to the global evidence base on next-generation TB diagnostics.

Our Letter, “Performance of Swab-Based MiniDock MTB Test for the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Pakistan,” has now been published in IJTLD OPEN, highlighting real-world experience from Pakistan with a promising near point-of-care molecular diagnostic approach for TB.

The publication adds to growing global evidence that portable, swab-based molecular testing can help move accurate TB diagnosis closer to communities and primary care settings, particularly in high-burden countries where access to centralized diagnostics remains a major barrier. Recent multicountry evidence has also shown MiniDock MTB to meet WHO accuracy targets for near point-of-care TB testing.

For Dopasi Foundation, this is more than a publication. It reflects our continued commitment to testing innovation in real-world settings, generating evidence from Pakistan, and helping translate new diagnostics into practical solutions that can reach people earlier and closer to home.

Across communities in Balochistan, Dopasi Foundation is bringing routine immunization conversations closer to families through locally led community sessions designed to build trust, address concerns, and strengthen confidence in vaccines.

These sessions engage parents, caregivers, elders, and community members in open dialogue on the importance of timely vaccination, helping families better understand routine immunization and the protection it provides against vaccine-preventable diseases.

In some of Balochistan’s hardest-to-reach areas, meaningful community engagement is essential to finding zero-dose and under-immunized children and connecting families with available vaccination services.

Implemented with the support of Gavi the Vaccine Alliance, and in collaboration with immunization partners, Dopasi Foundation continues to strengthen the link between communities and health services so that no child is missed because of distance, misinformation, or lack of awareness.

Climate awareness sessions are helping children understand that climate change is not a distant issue. It affects the air we breathe, the water we use, the food we grow, and the health of our communities.

Through interactive classroom discussions and age-appropriate activities, students are learning practical ways to protect the environment, conserve resources, and become responsible stewards of their communities.

The most powerful part is seeing children engage, ask questions, and carry the message forward themselves. Because real climate action begins when awareness turns into understanding, and understanding turns into action.

At Government Primary School Singri, learning is becoming more engaging, creative, and child-centred.

The District Health Officer Islamabad convened the Bi-Annual EPI Review Meeting, bringing together key stakeholders and development partners to collectively assess progress and identify opportunities to further strengthen immunization services.

The meeting provided an important platform to review EPI performance, vaccination coverage, and field-level implementation, with focused discussions on improving coverage, strengthening routine immunization, and ensuring that every eligible child is reached with life-saving vaccines.

Dopasi Foundation remains committed to supporting evidence-based, equitable, and community-centered immunization efforts, working alongside government and development partners to strengthen last-mile delivery and contribute to a healthier, better-protected Pakistan.

Under the leadership of Communicable Disease Control Sindh, Dopasi Foundation, in collaboration with PPHI Sindh and with support from the Stop TB Partnership’s TB REACH initiative, is expanding access to Near Point-of-Care sputum-swab TB diagnostics at selected primary healthcare facilities across Sindh.

As part of this initiative, Rural Health Centre Tandojam, District Hyderabad, has been capacitated to implement this innovative diagnostic approach bringing rapid, accessible TB testing closer to communities and strengthening the pathway from identification of presumptive TB to diagnosis and treatment.
