Asian Pacific Children Convention (APCC) is an annual event,being held in Fukuoka,Japan since 1989. Under the Auspices of APCC,11 year old Junior Ambassadors from 46 countries across the Asia-Pacific are invited each year.The APCC aims at providing children an exemplary oppurtunity to know about each other's cultures through spending time with each other.While having all the fun and frolic,the chi
ldren get the message that despite being very different as regards languages,culture etc,we have many similarities and through this Bridge of love,understanding and friendship,we can cross the boundaries and be Global Citizens;something conducive to world peace.The APCC aims to foster βGlobal Citizensβ, who are able to think of the world beyond national boundaries and desire world peace to be achieved. Former Junior Ambassadors are invited back to Fukuoka as Peace Ambassadors. There exists a world-wide network of APCC in the participant countries; Each 'branch' of APCC,known as 'Bridge Club'.
