A community meeting was held at Harn Maira Mosque after the Ijtema of Namaz-e-Jumma in the presence of the Imam Masjid and other key community stakeholders. Participants appreciated the initiative and pledged their support for promoting education and enrollment of Out-of-School Children (OOSC). During the meeting, community members also highlighted the challenges faced by the area, sharing that the only two available schools for boys and girls are primary-level institutions that are overcrowded and facing serious issues related to limited space and shortage of teachers. They requested further support to improve educational facilities in the area.

The 2nd National Dialogue on Anticipatory Action convened policymakers, humanitarian partners, climate specialists, and development organizations to advance Pakistan’s preparedness and resilience against climate-related disasters.

The dialogue emphasized the importance of early warning systems, forecast-based interventions, disaster risk reduction, and coordinated response mechanisms aimed at safeguarding vulnerable communities before disasters strike.

The event was organized by the National Disaster Management Authority Pakistan and co-organized by the World Food Programme, FAO Pakistan, the European Union, ACT – Aiming Change for Tomorrow, Welthungerhilfe , and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening anticipatory action and climate resilience across Pakistan.
