UNHCR team held a constructive meeting with the State Minister for Interior, State Minister for Law & Justice and Secretary Interior.

The meeting reaffirmed the value of continued dialogue and close cooperation between the Government of Pakistan and UNHCR, including the importance of sustained, long-term approaches that uphold the dignity of Afghan refugees while addressing Pakistan's legitimate concerns.

UNHCR appreciates Pakistan's generosity in hosting refugees for over 45 years and urges to continue supporting and protecting vulnerable people who need international protection.

📚 Investing in teachers, empowering children.

UNHCR supported a Life Skills-Based Education (LSBE) teachers’ training workshop in Peshawar, equipping educators with student-centred teaching techniques and community engagement skills, in collaboration with UNFPA Pakistan and with funding from the Netherlands. 🇳🇱

By strengthening teachers’ skills and working with the Education Department, UNHCR is helping children develop essential life skills, think critically and prepare for a brighter future.
