As part of a collaborative experience-sharing effort by the Association for Social Development (ASD), with support from the International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS), and in partnership with the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination Islamabad and the Health Services Academy (HSA), this video highlights how family perceptions of effective treatment and expectations for quick recovery can influence healthcare decisions among individuals experiencing URTI/diarrhea.
The video demonstrates how these social and familial expectations can contribute to self-medication and the inappropriate use of antibiotics, further adding to the growing challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). These lived experiences are helping transform community realities into awareness, dialogue, and practical solutions.
