Strive: A non-profit organization working on neurological treatment, care, and impactful initiatives. The Strive Trust is a not-for-profit and a civil society organization that works for improving the quality of life of Differently Abled Persons (DAPs), commonly known as Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Strive Trust focuses on spreading awareness and promoting research for eradicating disability

from all parts of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.It is working on treating many seemingly incurable diseases such as Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Muscular Dystrophy (MD), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Spinal Cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Stroke, Parkinson Disease and Alzheimer. Strive Trust has been helping the DAPs through spreading awareness, advocacy, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation services. Currently, we have diverted all our resources towards establishing linkages with renowned pharmaceutical companies and research institutes working on groundbreaking cures and remedies for addressing all kinds of disabilities.We have successfully negotiated with world renowned companies for introducing their discoveries and remedies in Pakistan in due course. We are facilitating several organizations to launch their products and services in Pakistan for treating disabilities. We are collaborating with many universities and other civil society organizations, as well as with the help and enthusiasm of our dedicated volunteers and the Strive Trust’s board of directors. Strive Trust has been vigorously preparing itself for implementing the second phase of its mission. It is gearing up for a holistic eradication of disability by 2025. Strive Trust is now fully focused on benefiting from exponentially evolving Science & Technology through artificial intelligence.

The Pakistan SMA Symposium 2026 brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, advocates, families, and stakeholders with one shared vision – Towards a Future Without SMA.

From conversations on early diagnosis and treatment advances to multidisciplinary care, genetic counselling, research, policy engagement, and improved access to care, the symposium strengthened the collective commitment to transforming the future of Spinal Muscular Atrophy in Pakistan.

These highlights capture more than an event; they reflect a growing movement towards greater awareness, stronger collaboration, and meaningful action for the SMA community.

Meet Our Esteemed Speakers || Pakistan SMA Symposium 2026

We were honoured to welcome a distinguished group of experts, policymakers, clinicians, researchers, and advocates at the Pakistan SMA Symposium 2026, held under the theme “Towards a Future Without SMA.”

Our speakers shared valuable insights on early diagnosis, treatment advancements, multidisciplinary care, research, policy development, and collaborative approaches to improve outcomes for individuals and families affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy in Pakistan.

Their participation, knowledge, and commitment contributed significantly to meaningful dialogue and strengthened the collective effort towards better awareness, timely diagnosis, improved access to treatment, and a stronger SMA support ecosystem in Pakistan.

STRIVE and PPAF Discuss Strengthening Collaboration and Future Initiatives

A productive meeting was held between STRIVE and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund to strengthen collaboration, review ongoing progress, and explore opportunities for future initiatives.

The meeting focused on enhancing coordination and developing sustainable partnerships aimed at achieving shared goals and creating a greater and lasting impact for communities in need.

Both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to working together, leveraging their respective expertise and resources to advance meaningful initiatives and contribute towards a more inclusive and empowered society.
